Price guide

Prices vary from floor to floor. Several factors will affect the cost including the age of the floor, whether the floor is top nailed or secret nailed, has moisture caused the boards to 'cup' and to what degree? Also black japan staining on older floors will require extra sanding etc. The following table will enable you to calculate an estimate figure for your floor. We will need to do an onsite inspection and measure to provide (free of charge of course) a firm quotation.

New Floors: From $24 per square metre.
Old floors: From $28 per square metre.

These prices are for 3 coats of 1 pack polyurethane in a gloss or semi-gloss finish, all necessary filling and light sanding between coats. All reasonable care is taken to achieve a 'low dust' finish.

Staining: Add $10-15 per square metre.
Non-toxic (waterborne): Add $5-8 per square metre.
